What 45 push ups taught me...

Hey there Reader,

Each year, I do my new age in push-ups for my birthday — in a row, on camera. It’s something I started at 30, just for fun. But, I’ve kept going for 16 years now. A not-so-quiet tradition that reminds me what consistent strength looks and feels like.

This year, I set up the camera, took a deep breath, and got to work.

I hit 45. But I couldn’t get to 46.

I normally try to do one extra, just to be sure. But this year, that last rep just wasn’t there. My form was falling apart, and honestly… I almost didn’t share the video.

It wasn’t pretty.

But it was honest.

And more importantly, it was me choosing to do something hard — even when it didn’t go the way I hoped.

We talk a lot around here about not chasing perfection. About building strength that lasts. About making your workouts something that fit into your life, not something you have to punish yourself for.

This tradition reminds me of that every year.

And the best part?

I looked back and realized: I’m stronger now than I was at 30.

That’s the kind of strength we believe in. The kind that doesn’t fade with age — it builds, decision by decision, rep by rep.
